Héctor Anguiano is a P’urhépecha indigenous community member and a specialist in indigenous forest governance and social safeguards related to forest management for FSC certification. Trained in the community forest management practices of his own community, he currently supports territorial and organizational strengthening processes with indigenous peoples in various regions of Mexico, including P’urhépecha, Zapotec, Wixárika, and Nahuatl communities.
He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Quality and Productivity, along with additional training in leadership and executive management from institutions such as ICAMI, IPADE, and EGADE Business School. With over 17 years of experience, his work combines indigenous governance, community participation, and FSC forest certification, promoting forest management models focused on collective rights, sustainability, and community empowerment.
