Aehshatou belongs to the Mbororo Indigenous Pastoralist community and is a Human Rights and Gender Advocate with over a decade of experience in community development, advocacy, and activism.

She currently serves as the Regional Focal Point for Africa at the FSC Indigenous Foundation. In this role, she supports Indigenous affairs and governance, facilitating communication between the FSC-IF, Indigenous Peoples Organizations, and Global stakeholders.

She coordinates initiatives with different stakeholders, assists in program and project planning, and provide operational, administrative and logistical support to FSC’s Permanent Indigenous Peoples Committee and the FSC-IF Council.

In this capacity she facilitates governance processes, coordinates initiatives, and ensures effective communication and operational support to Indigenous Peoples’ engagement in Africa.
