Sara is a Gender & Inclusion Specialist with post-graduate qualifications and 15+ years of international experience on strategy and intervention design, leadership, management, research, advocacy, and activism. She has extensive professional experience in intervention-based programming mainstreaming GESI (Gender Equality and Social Inclusion) and WEE (Women’s Economic Empowerment) with the public and private sectors, focusing on market systems, value chains, entrepreneurship, governance, finance, and trade.

Sara has assisted victims of gender-based violence and human trafficking and has conducted activist campaigns to increase awareness and to support female migrants and refugees. She is the founder and Chair of the MESI (Music, Education and Social Inclusion) Study Group, an international academic research group within the ICTM, an organization in formal consultation with UNESCO.
